Essential information for Indian citizens
A visa is required for Indian travelers visiting Vietnam for either business or tourism purposes. The eVisa option is the most convenient and quickest way to obtain a visa, as the entire process can be completed online. Once your application is approved, you will receive the eVisa electronically.
Vietnam allows entry with an e-Visa at 13 air border gates, 16 land border gates, and 13 sea border gates.
Please be advised that a valid visa is needed to board your flight. If your visa has expired or contains incorrect information that doesn’t match your passport, you will not be allowed to board. However, travelers arriving in Phu Quoc (PQC) may enter Vietnam without a visa for up to 30 days, provided these conditions are met:
-Arrival and departure are directly to and from Phu Quoc by air or sea.
-An onward ticket to a destination outside of Vietnam within 30 days of entry is presented.
-The traveler is not restricted from entering Vietnam.
How long does it take for the Vietnamese Single Entry eVisa to be processed?
Most applications are processed within 10 business days. However, processing times are not guaranteed, so it’s advisable to apply as early as possible. Once your eVisa is approved, you’ll receive it immediately, and we’ll notify you if there are any issues.
How long can I stay in Vietnam with the eVisa?
The Vietnamese 1 month / single entry e-Visa allows you to stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days. If you need to stay longer, you can apply for a 3 month visa or contact the nearest Vietnamese embassy or consulate for more information on extending your stay.
